New York City professional Jerome R. Goldstein has had a leadership career in the investment realm that spanned positions as Bear Stearns & Co. original partner, executive committee member, and managing director, emeritus. With a strong interest in gardening, horticulture, and preserving nature, Jerome R. Goldstein is an advisory member with the Westchester Land Trust. He has also served as treasurer of a Bedford Hills nonprofit and supported efforts to prevent over-development and ensure the integrity of local plants, animals, and natural resources.
Mr. Goldstein was a government major at Dartmouth College, where he received the Rufus Choate Scholar award for his academic achievements. A dedicated campus benefactor, he has co-chaired the Parents Fund and served as alumni class president, while endowing lasting initiatives such as the Award for Distinguished Creative or Scholarly Achievement and the Dartmouth Distinguished Teaching Award.
Mr. Goldstein also supports meaningful health initiatives and is an emeritus member of the Mount Sinai Health System board, where he focused on efforts to build leading-edge cancer research programs. He has also served as trustee of the New York Eye and Ear hospital and on the board of Cornell University’s St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Jerome R. Goldstein is a longtime member and former treasurer and board member of The Lotos Club, one of America’s oldest and most preeminent literary associations.
